Commercial Alarm Monitoring
There have been many improvements in commercial alarm systems. In this modern day and age you can't just make a loud, alarming sound during a burglary or smash and grab.
Modern alarm systems can be connected to multiple systems and are not just localized. The equipment is more reliable, and offers better security. Our clients can connect with their business 24/7 through professional monitoring and a versatile app for mobile devices.
Parts of an Intrusion Alarm System
There are many components that go into business alarm systems. Each of these parts has an important role. You can create a powerful commercial security systems if you put them together correctly. Here are the basic components of an alarm network:
Detection Devices
Detection systems detect when someone enters your building. A1 Commercial security service use many types, including:
-
Contact Switches are used on doors and windows to detect if they're open or closed. They can be used outside doors and windows but they can also serve an interior purpose, such as monitoring a room. You can monitor a shop room.
-
Motion Detector- A motion detector detects people within the building. They are often called passive infrared detectors (PIR) and activated by body heat. They are generally installed throughout the house.
-
Glass Breakage Detectors-These are typically installed near windows or around the perimeter of buildings. Alarm system activates when glass is broken. This alarm is activated even before intruders are inside the building.
Signaling Devices
A signaling device is activated when there is an intrusion. A bell or siren could be used to alert the intruder, as well as a visual device like a strobe light or strobe. The intruder knows that he's been detected. In many cases, this will prompt him to retreat quickly. Others in the vicinity of the building are also notified to take any necessary action. External strobe lamps may be used by emergency services to help locate buildings that are in alarm.
Arming Stations and Keypads
Arming stations change the status of the intrusion alarm by turning it 'on' or 'off'. They are typically located inside buildings near exit doors. These stations allow the last person to arm an alarm. This can usually be done by entering a code into an arming station equipped with a keypad. This gives you more flexibility and allows you to arm only a part of your building, and provide system diagnostics.
Control Equipment
All alarm activities are processed through the control panel. All of the alarm system's detection and signalling equipment are connected to this panel. These control panels allow us to fully customize our alarm system.
Alarm Transmission
An alarm triggers and then the alarm transmission device sends a message out to the professional monitoring system and the authorities. The messages are sent using regular telephone lines as well as cellular or internet devices.

Full Security System Integration
For added security, your business alarm system could be integrated with additional systems.
-
Access Control: A Card Access Control Systems allows you to control who has what access to what area of the building and at what times.
-
Fire Protection: The alarm transmission equipment can notify the fire department by connecting to your ULC-fire monitoring or smoke detector
-
A Business Security Camera can provide instant and reliable information regarding every security incident. The quality of both indoor and outdoor cameras has increased dramatically. We can see exactly what triggered an alarm, so we can trigger the right response.
Our expert team will work closely with you to create a fully integrated system. Our expert team will assist with monitoring any additional devices such as generators, compressors or key building equipment.
